Rotary Tower Automatic Stretch Wrapper

Orion's M Series wrappers are ideal for loads that are fragile, very heavy, light or unstable. Machine can be loaded via fork lift, pallet jack or electric walkie. An ultra-reliable chain and sprocket drives a 20" precision ring bearing which supports the 14 RPM rotating arm. One piece all welded design rotary tower wrapper eliminates the need to mount to wall. Integral angled fork tubes make set-up and transporting the machine easy. Simply tilt up, drill holes and lag base to floor. Tilted carriage lets film wrap to within 2"" of the floor allowing user to "lock" the load to the pallet. Orion's Revo-Logic saves film and money by applying top and bottom wraps precisely. Photo eye on top looks at bumper mounted reflector to stop rotation if an obstacle is encountered.

Insta-Thread™ film delivery system

Orion's Insta-Thread is a powered prestretch film delivery system which elongates stretch film between two closely spaced, specially textured powered rollers prior. The standard prestretch rate is 260%, however higher or lower rates (up to 350%) are available for specific applications. Pre-stretching film not only reduces your film cost per load, it substantially increases the strength and holding power of the stretch film. Film loading on the Insta-Thread is fast, safe and easy: simply open the hinged roller frame, pull the film across then close and latch the frame.

Tower support & drive

The rotating arm is supported and driven by a rugged, reliable 20" diameter precision ring bearing connected by ANSI roller chain to a non-proprietary motor/gear reducer. This system of drive/support has been field proven to be highly rugged and reliable in a wide variety of industrial environments. Components are easily accessed for service and maintenance. Orion uses locally available, non-proprietary parts whenever possible.

Controller

Orion uses rugged, locally available switches, buttons and pots on control panels. Controls are logical and easy to understand. A large mushroom style E-stop button shuts the machine down immediately. This control box is CSA approved and NEMA 12 rated.

Allen Bradley PLC

The M-66 uses the Allen Bradley / Series MicroLogix controller for maximum flexibility and reliability. One look inside the M-66 controller shows the pride of craftsmanship that goes in to each and every Orion stretch wrapping system.
