Semi-Automatic Low Profile Turntable

The medium duty L-66S is one of Orion's most popular low profile, semi-automatic machines. The robust frame and mast are built from structural steel for years of service in even the roughest industrial settings. The L-66S uses the highly efficient Insta-Thread film delivery system to stretch every last bit of strength and economy from your stretch film. Other features include positive turntable alignment, Revo-Logic precise wrap count, and automatic load height photo eye, separately adjustable speed for carriage up and down.

The L-66S is also available without a surround deck (L-66).

User friendly control panel with AB PLC

The L-66S uses the industry standard Allen Bradley 1000 Series PLC for maximum reliability and flexibility. The PLC has a high speed counter which is used by the Revo-Logic system for accurate application of top and bottom wraps, thus saving film on every load you wrap. Non-proprietary industrial grade 22mm switches and buttons are used on the control panel for durability and easy replacement.

Heavy duty turntable support system

11 Orion Dura-Glide self aligning casters support loads weighing up to 4,000 pounds. The turntable is driven by a chain and sprocket for a very positive mechanical coupling. Unlike some machines that use belts, the heavy duty ANSI roller chain is commonly available and is non-proprietary. Positive home alignment assures that the turntable always stops in the same position as where is started. Soft start gradual turntable acceleration avoids problems with unstable loads.

Insta-Thread™ film delivery system

Orion's Insta-Thread is a powered prestretch film delivery system which elongates stretch film between two closely spaced, specially textured powered rollers prior. The standard prestretch rate is 260%, however higher or lower rates (up to 350%) are available for specific applications. Pre-stretching film not only reduces your film cost per load, it substantially increases the strength and holding power of the stretch film. Film loading on the Insta-Thread is fast, safe and easy: simply open the hinged roller frame, pull the film across then close and latch the frame.

Forklift portable from front or rear

Conveniently located fork tubes at the front and rear of the machine. Front tubes are especially useful when machine is placed against a wall. Major components such as motors and gearboxes are mounted for easy access saving time and money if maintenance is required.
